This plant is the same plant (within GPS variation) as the one posted by Rosemary Roth in Feb 19 2019 and confirmed by Betty Wood as Cassinia aculeata (4198048). There are only 2 cassinia plants (a large one and a small one beside it) in the area so which species is correct? I was not sure which species it was as the leaves are quite long, but not a as long or as wide as usually found in Cassinia longifolia. However, the flower head seemed more like aculeata.
Having looked at a lot of aculeata and longifolia over the last 2 weeks in Tallaganda NP I would say this is longifolia. Leaf length in longifolia can be variable
