Tiny little eggs bound together with fibres including my dog's fur and some insect parts.

If my ID is correct, the female adult moth is dull brown , fat and flightless. She stays beside her cocoon emitting pheromones to attract males. She layes her eggs on the cocoon after fertilization . The newly hatched caterpillars ‘ balloon ‘ in the breeeze on silk threads to spread across the country side .

@MichaelMulvaney Interesting! I didn't see an original cocoon or moth - but I probably just missed it, given that spot is hidden when the screen door is open and with the recent rain it usually has been.
