User's notes

3 trees of - I suspect - the same species and around the same age. Old aerial photos indicate they were planted as a paddock windbreak (?) in the 60s. Most of the rest were chopped down in the 80s or 90s, when the nearby housing was built. I think there's a few more at the entry to the "Beechwood" development but I haven't checked them out in person yet.

Looks to be planted, so not local. I might get back to you later or ask Ciaran

E. aggregata was a popular government planting around Canberra in the 1960s. It occurs locally at Kowen and is now a nationally threatened species. @gregbaines are you happy with the ID

I think these are most likely E.nicholii, as for as I can tell there are no records of E.aggregata having been planted in this area, but E.nicholii certainly has. I'll do a comparison of the fruits at some stage

Thanks Ciaran _ I doidn't think of Nicholi which is also a common planting
