User's notes

Moth was sitting high up on a painted concrete covered brick fence post. The moth was about 60 -70 mm. I originally thought it could be a Privet Hawk Moth because it looked like the one on Naturemapr but when I opened the photos it could be something different. I tried to change the species to the Hawk Moth category and it kept defaulting to the Privet Hawk Moth.

Missing the dark arc around the forewing apex. Looks rather like a Cossid or Hepialid, but I cannot find a match.

Maybe Endoxyla lituratus?, wing pattern looks quite similar to some of the sightings on ALA
