Helen, nice capture of the unusual pose that this species adopts. I presume it serves to camouflage it on the twig. On Black Mountain I once observed an individual of the same species in a virtually identical pose, with the antennae extended but flattened against the bark in front of it.

Thanks Kim, yes it's a strange posture for sure and agree that it's probably for camouflage!
