@heino1 or a degraded Cortinarius fibrillosus? I think I can see some texture on the pileus of the mushrooms to the right of the image. I spent a long time staring at these and going through all of my books/ALA/my mushroom FB group when this was posted, and couldn't reach a conclusion.

Could well be! I’ve just had an educational look at Matheny & Bougher’s Australian Inocybe monograph and see that Cleland’s Cortinarius fibrillosus had at one time been moved to Inocybe (on account the presence of cheilocystidia and smooth brown spores). However, Matheny & Bougher argue that Cortinarius is still the best placement for this unusual species - despite the smooth spore walls.
