It actually landed on my leg on three separate occasions, as well as perching on nearby shrubs.

Location is close to this sighting (still unidentified) from just over seven months ago, wondering if it could be the same species: Austroaeschna sp. (genus)

The angle is really awkward on this, but I think I can see enough to say it's A. obscura.
