All up 4 individuals at various times (single male, group of 3) over spring/early summer 2023. Before that we've never seen fallow deer on our property.
Thanks for the record @MaartjeSevenster. Fallow Deer and Sambar are expanding their range in SE Australia and causing increasing complaint from rural landholders. So its possible you will observe more of them in future. Unfortunately there is still no approved effective control technique for landscape scale application against any of the deer species. At small scale, fencing is probably the best thing you can do. And while regional densities are still low, local hunting and related cues might work to deter animals from areas you make them perceive to be risky.
