Only fourth electronic record of this species in our region, while it is uncommon in NSW

Observed one additional probable individual flying over the trail around 200 meter south of this site, but without getting a closer look.

Thanks Michael, was exciting to see it. Why is it that Synemon plana is listed as endangered species in ACT and receives special conservation attention, but not this species (when it seems to be significantly rarer)?

Interesting question. A question that could be posed regarding many moth species we know very little about. A significant factor is also that that the native grasslands ecosysyem S . plana relies on is also endangered.
