Interesting flush, I rarely see these out of season, though lots of other mushies are opportunistic. I presume these emerged due to the heavy rains the other week.

Can't see a ring around stem so pretty sure this is granulates rather than luteus

@MichaelMulvaney Yes, definitely S granulatus. Too dried out to see the characteristic "weeping", but the granulation on the stipe and lack of an annulus rules out S luteus. (I'm a massive fungi nerd - got into them far before plants!)

@MichaelMulvaney I have! I would love to be a fungi moderator, I've been on moderator on one of the big Facebook groups for a couple of years, now, and I'm very comfortable with fungi ID. :)
