Do you have a photo of the leaf or can you describe it, that is most important? Also can you refine the plant height a little?

C.campestris is well possible, it occurs to the west and too the east of us. But we should approach the complex with caution. The flowers seems tardily open which would suggest C.saprophyticus is a resonably strong contender. Could you provide some information regarding the leaves?

I went back to the site and took some more photos and updated the record @DerekC , @Tapirlord . Of course, I forgot to take my tape measure. Bottle opener aperture is 15 mm and that is the flower size. plants are 42-50 cm high. Found 5 plants within ~ 2m of each other. Variably protected by grasses and shrubs. Basal leaves of all plants were either munched at the same growth stage, or are all poorly developed (but don't seem to be reduced to scaley bracts as for saprophytica?). Lens cap is 62 mm

Third look, and brought the total plants to 8 within 20 m. 2 have entire leaves, so most likely Montanus.

Thanks Dan for all your extra efforts and I agree these are C. montanus. It is confusing when the leafs missing for whatever reason and there is natural variation in the flower appearance and size. Again thanks.
