GPSed. It was on leaf litter below a clump of Eucalyptus viminalis however there were scattered plants of native grass (Austrostipa ?scabra) nearby. Estimated length scaling off key tip width in pic 1 is ~31mm. A moth caterpillar perhaps?

@AndyRoo : it would still be good to rear it in captivity to get the adult for verification.
