User's notes

GPSed. It was on leaf litter below a clump of Eucalyptus viminalis however there were scattered plants of native grass (Austrostipa ?scabra) nearby. Estimated length scaling off key tip width in pic 1 is ~31mm. A moth caterpillar perhaps?

Thanks @donhe and @ibaird good to have an ID and add sighting No 2 to CNM. From the info in the link to ALA I gleaned that grasses are its habitat - there was native grass near where I found it - so I'll amend my user notes accordingly.

@AndyRoo : it would still be good to rear it in captivity to get the adult for verification.

@donhe no chance of that as this was at a location several drive hours from my home and more importantly it was a sighting made in Mar 2021. However, something for me to keep in mind for sightings on my home territory i.e. in the Canberra area.
