Large clump of plants. Low growing up to 1m. Long canes.

My first thought was Lonicera fragmentissima, but the leaves don't seem right for this - Lycium barbarum seems a pretty good fit

Thanks for the input. I think you are probably correct. Th lack of thorns was a bit of a red herring. I was thinking ferocisimum but knew it couldn't be.
