User's notes

Unfortunately, it is past its prime - but I am putting it up to get an idea as to what it could be. No other similar plant nearby. Updated with two photos taken a day later - with the plant withering strikingly within this time. A shot of the leaves (left). I have added two new pictures taken this evening - to show the plant and the leaves at the base. However, the plant was much drier and lost just about all green.

If it was a Bunochilus, it would B.umbrinus I'd imagine. Very interesting.

Would you be able to re-upload those photos of the basal leaves? They don't appear to have come through.

Yes, I can do. From my end, I do an edit and add ... but then I cannot see the change... May try via firefox - Safari is my preferred option.

And I have since found a second specimen - where the basal leaves are clearer. It is about 50 m further south-east. It was in the same state... so the two plants were perfectly synchronised in their flowering/cycle. It also had 4 flowers. If you find appropriate, I may add it as well.

Let me know if you cannot see it now... uploaded via firefox just now.

Thanks for uploading those. However the additional photographs are of a Diuris rather than a Bunochilus.
