Based upon a review of Australian Gazania, done by Thomas Mesaglio and several South African botanists. G.linearis is apparently not found in Australia and most of our plants are Gazania x splendens, with a few straight G.rigens mixed in. That would explain the sheer variation we see on platform.

I think what I will do is add G. x splendens and see if we can merge it with G.linearis.
