Hi Hejor, I'm not sure exactly what the ants are after, but they certainly look as though they are getting some sort of food. These daisies look like Sticky Everlastings (Xerochysum viscosum) and they certainly seem to exude a lot of sticky stuff on their leaves, so maybe there is something sugary on the flowers too? @JonLewis interesting! They seemed to be concentrating on the very base of the flowers. If I see it again I’ll take more photos and try to figure out what they’re doing.
