We found this little creature close to Lake Burley Griffin. While it looks like a common rat (an introduced species), the snout is a little different. We were hoping that someone could identify it or confirm the species.

Thanks for the observation @LuisaDM ! The snout shape looks like a pain grimace, so this black rat was likely sick or poisoned.
