This scat was dry, but not white - so it might not be fox scat - is that correct? (I keep hoping that one day I'll find evidence of a marsupial predator . . . )

Could be either fox, dingo or dog but fox looks most likely. Dingo scats have more bone chips and are more often white and adult dingo scats can be larger.
