Noticed this large egg shaped pupae/cocoon? attached to grass. It was about 6cm in length and 4-5cm wide. Not sure what type of insect might have created it.

Thank you for identifying this whopper of an egg sack. I looked it up and one source said that they can hold up to 400 eggs! Amazing nature.
