This is quite an exciting find for me. I have not seen one like it before. The surface was moist. On a fallen Acacia sp trunk.

The hairy upper surface has trapped algal propagules and obviously provided a very nice microhabitat for algal growth!. Given the pored underside, perhaps a species of Trametes.
