We know the weeds at (the bottom of) this drainage line are horrendous! the drainage line starts high up on the mountain, runs first in north direction, then bend towards west and drains into a stock dam and runs parallel to Valour park in a scraped out gully; the drainage line can be seen as a green band in Google Earth. The west ward bend is most likely forced by a change of geological conditions (limestone). The drainage line, particularly the lower part where it runs west is full of weeds (legacy of over 100 years of farming, horse holding and neglect) which are beyond volunteers' capacity to tackle. In the last 3 LaNina years water was flowing over the surface which is the natural condition for the drainage line in wet seasons. However the surface flow ensures constant distribution of weeds via seed dispersal by water.
