Significant sighting

Tapirlord noted:

12 Aug 2023

First CNM sighting of this highly endemic and unusual plant. This record represents a known location.

User's notes

Growing in very sandy soil close to the Shoalhaven River, in Bombay Reserve. No idea what this is but first thing that came to mind when I saw it was the images I've seen on CNM of the Murrumbidgee Bossiaea but I've read that is only known to occur in the ACT?

Congratulations Matthew! You've run into a rather rare and distinctive plant. This species is endemic to a rather small region of the Shoalhaven, so it really is a case of right place right time! Bossiaea grayi is similar, but as we understand it is exclusive to the Murrumbidgee.

Big population in this one little area I explored yesterday.

Congratulations Matthew. So good to hear about little populations of rare species.
