Yeah not too sure here might be a different genus of Conifer or similar.

Did you notice any cones or berries - leaves seem to fit better with Cupressus but I don't know either cypresses or junipers that well

I went back today but there was no cones or berries. I added a photo of the trunk that may be helpful?
