Hi AndyRoo, Myrmecia tend to have fairly small nests (say one or two hundred ants) and usually forage as single ants rather than as trails. It must have been cold up there - I’m surprised this one was out at all! Cheers, Jon

Thanks Jon, good to know. At the time 2pm it was a warm sunny day - based on BoM records somewhere in the low 20s and high UV.
