This little fish came out of the mouth of a Redfin that I caught on the Murrumbidgee (downstream of Burrinjuck Dam). I am wondering what species it is likely to be given the unusual head shape. Could it be a juvenile native perch?
Unfortunately its very small and partial digested to be positively identified. Possibly a young of year cod or blackfish but it could also be a gudgeon.
