Area of Kama NR that was ecologically burnt on 15 Feb 2023. Dried stalks did not burn and remain erect and dried today (pic1). The majority of the stem bases are throwing new leaves (pics 2&3). Some stalks holding dried seed heads were collected today and upended in a plastic bucket (pic4)- hundreds of seeds came out (pic5), indicating much new germination could possibly occur amongst established plants.
