This one got a temporary reprieve from the Friends of Black Mountain yesterday because no-one was quite sure what it was. We know where it lives.

Its relative Arbutus canariensis is is planted in Forest 50 of the National Arboretum. The leaves and flowers are a bit different if you have seen both.
