User's notes

at the base of a moribund eucalypt, a large brownish (but bright yellow internally) leathery mushroom, with cap shape hard to determine because of pitting? Gills less bright yellow than the top of cap, stem stout about 2 cm diameter and about 5 cm tall, but not obvious until part of cap broken off to look at gills. An active rabbit warren at the site may explain the "pits" - perhaps rabbits are partial to mushroom snacks.
