Yeah I know it is battered. One photo shows undersurface of wings which was bright orange with brown surround.

Stericta bryomima ? Not sure what the undersides are like, but the related Salma pyrastis has orange undersides.

Worn, but I think elements of the required forewing pattern are there. Shape is indicative.
