Significant sighting

natureguy noted:

19 Mar 2023

New location of a high-priority weed for the ACT.

User's notes

Large plants with short hairs obvious on fruits and stems. Flowers 2cm across, with long style and 4-lobed white stigma. Fruits up to 7cm long. Growing on edge of stormwater drain so possibly garden escapee. Many small Epilobiums growing in same area but clearly different species to these 2 monsters. Seed photo taken in mid March once fruit had opened.

Thanks Pinnacle, would be great to get these plants removed but sadly have already set seed so probably spreading into the surrounding waterway
