Closer to 12 than 25 mm. Also very hard to photograph since it wouldn't stop still plus any time the camera came close it tried to climb onto the lens.

So does this mean that the wasp would also have wing cases the same as the beetle? This individual definitely has wing cases.

Yeah I finally realised that. It needs a hyphen between wasp and mimicking so it is wasp-mimicking ... one word and an adjective describing the beetle.
