Helen, A lateral veiw would also be very handy to pick up the side markings on the pronotum. This applies to most katydids. Thanks Roger

Members of the Australian Orthopteroids Facebook group, including Matthew Connors have given an alternative ID of a male Olive-green Coastal Katydid, Austrosalomona falcata.

Having had a second look at the lateral views a second time, I think that A. falcata is correct. Its very unusual being so far from the coast

I forgot to add that I have recorded an undescribed female Austrosalamona sp No 9 from a Gymea in ANBG. So it may be better to call your Austrosalamona sp. as it is unlikelt to be falcata so far from the coast.
