Continuing on from prior FOG MGD 17-18 Nov 2018 hunting weekend. Mixture of plants in various stages of flowering with some non-flowering or sparsely stemmed (1-2) flowering plants with variable sized basal tufts. Scattered patches (various sizes generally less than 50cm x 50cm) and individual plants, part of a band following the contour. Southern end of ridge top, on more gentle sloping part of shoulder before track dips sharply to southwest. Rocky basaltic soil. Native grassland with a mosaic of grass tussocks, exposed rock, and small patches of bare ground. MGD mostly in interstitial spaces of bare ground between grass tussocks and rock but in many cases in and around grass tussocks. Some plants (mostly non-flowering) look disturbed, having raised and divided basal tufts and exposed thick woody root stocks.
