Continuing on from prior FOG MGD 17-18 Nov 2018 hunting weekend.
Generally no flowering observed except 1 plant within grass tussock with 1 flowering stem (approx, 10cm) and nearby another with an unopened flower (stem <10cm). Location coords at centre of strip 28m x 4m oriented NW-SW, mostly scattered, small individual plants (various patch sizes) with stunted, sparsely vegetated basal tufts, generally no more than 5-30cm diameter and 1-2 cm high. Some plants appear to be chewed back and have loosened root stock.
At southeast end of site, below high voltage power lines, on shoulder of ground sloping to south. Grassland, mixed native (dominant) and exotic. Rocky basaltic soil. Extensive interstitial patches of bare soil and occasional small rocks with abundant litter of grass and loose, curled up, dry lichen. Evidence (scats) of recent sheep grazing. Extensive cover of ungrazed and partially grazed grass tussocks. MGD plants in interstitial patches.
