Continuing on from prior FOG MGD 17-18 Nov 2018 hunting weekend.
No flowering observed except 1 plant with 1 partially flowering stem (4cm). Strip 23m x 3m, mostly scattered, small individual plants (various patch sizes) with stunted, sparsely vegetated basal tufts, generally no more than 5-10cm diameter and 1-2 cm high. Plants appear to be chewed back and have loosened root stock.
At south end of site on eastern facing slope below southern knoll. Grassland, mixed native (dominant) and exotic. Rocky basaltic soil. Extensive interstitial patches of bare ground and exposed rocks and stones with abundant cover of loose, curled up, dry lichen. Evidence (scats) of recent sheep grazing and cattle grazing before this. Some patches of grass ungrazed. MGD primarily in interstitial patches.
