First time I've ever seen a peacock spider! And I had no idea it was a peacock spider. Just spotted that it was interesting - the rear end just looked white. Had 800 mm lens on. Ended up grabbing some photos on the phone. That's when I really started to wonder... and then with the fluffing around to change to my macro lens on my camera it disappeared! So met my first peacock spider, on the rock that I'd chosen to sit on earlier, didn't realise what it was, took terrible photos with the phone and lost it 2 minutes later before I could get photos with the camera. And then spent an hour looking for it... *facepalm* Last photos are to give context of how close it was to the water and where it was roughly.
