Continuing on from prior FOG MGD 17-18 Nov 2018 hunting weekend.
Generally no flowering observed, although occasional individual plants with 1 or 2 short stems (to 10 cm) of unopened flowers. Strip 26m x 4m, mostly scattered, individual plants with stunted basal tufts, general no more than 10cm diameter and 2-3 cm high.
At northest end of site on gently sloping shoulders and flat sections on eastern side of ridge top. Grassland, mixed native and exotic (dominant?). Rocky basaltic soil with abundant cover of loose, curled up, dry lichen. Evidence of recent cattle grazing, primarily in native grassland patches, leaving large patches of exotic grass relatively untouched. MGD primarily in native grassland patches in interstitial patches of bare ground amongst and around exposed rocks and stones.
