Continuing on from prior FOG MGD 17-18 Nov 2018 hunting weekend.
Flower heads closed (about to open) on short stems (to 12 cm). Individual plants with stunted basal tufts, generally no more than 10cm diameter and 2-3 cm high.
At northeast end of site on gently sloping shoulder on east side of ridge top. Grassland, mixed native and exotic (dominant?). Rocky basaltic soil with abundant cover of loose, curled up, dry lichen. Evidence of recent cattle grazing leaving nearby tussocks and patches of exotic grass relatively untouched. MGD primarily in native grassland patches in interstitial patches of bare ground amongst and around exposed rocks and stones.
