Advice from two NSW botanists (Lachlan Copeland, Greg Steenbeeke) is that this is a Picris species. Given that the only Picris spp. listed in NSW PlantNet are indigenous, this plant warrants a closer look.

Specimens will be collected in the near future to be lodged in herbaria.

Another opinion, this time Gavin Phillips, a gun-botanist from Sydney (Mt Annan) also considers this to be Picris angustifolia var. angustifolia.

I have arranged access and will get a few specimens for the herbaria (ACT and NSW)

As previously noted, i have identifications from three eminent botanists from NSW, that this is a native Picris sp., and Gavin Phillips has gone as far as identifying it as P. angustifolia subsp. angustifolia. That was my initial ID too because i have previously seen the species at Royalla (as it is here on Canberra NatureMap).

Thanks, I do tend to agree too as I have seen and recorded Crepis foetida before and the seed heads, and especially the flowers look wrong for that species.
