I have no idea what I'm looking at here. Whether it's emerged from the white stuff, is making the white stuff or what for the first photo. The second was about 30-40 cm away. I'm guessing the size of the insect. I think it was on a eucalypt, but not certain. iNaturalist's guess was what I've put it as.

Great shots, Korinne. Plainly show a female Platybrachys laying a batch of eggs and covering them with a protective waxy secretion.
