Only angle and photos I could get, as insect was on a reed inside the edge of a dam

I think that simple pattern of verrucae is found mainly in Anthelidae. We only have published photos of the caterpillars of about 7% of Australia's moth species. If you want to know the species of a caterpillar, basically you have to capture it and rear it to get the adult moth.

Thank you. I would have captured it if I could, except it was unreachable, in water by the edge of a dam :(
