Definitely feeding activity going on but on what? I believe that several other individuals were present on several other H. viscosa flowerheads.

They apparently like these flowers Con - one of your previous sightings was on the same sort of daisy (4457205). I suppose they are collecting nectar. Cheers, Jon

Yes, Jon. Helichrysum viscosa. I checked the behaviours for the pollination study. They seemed to be moving about the petals(?) rather than in amongst the pollen bearing parts of the flower. I also checked for pollen grains and none seemed to be adhering. When I checked the earlier records few, if any, were on flowers. The jaw looks more like they might be hunting for creatures attracted to the flowers. I really don't know.
