I note you have recorded 2 sightings at different locations the other being Thelymitra nuda (Scented Sun Orchid) but some of the same photos have been used for both records could you please review these records?
Could also indicate a flower size and any other information to assist in identification.
Yes, sorry, the flowers are less than 100m apart but my phone automatically geotags the photos and NatureMapr doesn't seem to want to work with that data, so I've approximated, poorly it seems.
The flowers were about 1.2 inch across (I'm sorry, I'm originally western Canadian and can't make my mind think in mm). If they cooperate and open tomorrow I can get an exact measurement.
I cannot stress how abundant the Thelymitra are here. This was one orchid amongst hundreds in an area approximately 1km square, of at least three individual species. Well worth the visit.
Thanks that makes them about 38-40 mm and as I suspected thus too large for T. peniculata. That would be too large for T. brevifolia and T. arenaria also ruling out the T. pauciflora complex and narrows it down to the T. nuda complex and just three species. Some measurements would be very helpful and if you are going back some photos and measurements of some leaves would be very revealing also.
