The species formerly called Ambigolimax nyctelius is now Letourneuxia nyctelia (Bourguignat, 1861).

Yes, the story does not end there however. Apparently the only correct way of determining these invasive slugs is by dissecting their reproductive systems and through DNA. But for the moment the pictured slugs above are Letourneuxia nyctelia (Bourguignat, 1861).
