Male. First two pics taken in situ, then captured for a clearer third pic - then released into garden.

Your ID is accurate, however I'm not going to confirm the addition of the record name as we'll need to have it put in slightly differently.
I'll record it as Araneinae (subfamily) for now and mark it to come back to once the genus name is sorted (it may need to be added as a synonym of Eriophora).
