It's a bad photo, and taken at an angle that makes this moth look shorter than it actually was.

Tempted to consider Plectophila discalis because it it often has a similar base colour and its so variable, but I don't see a good match. Also this specimen seems to lack the fine detail that that the Plectophila genus shows on the costa and at the outer forewing margins.
