Thanks. I initially thought it was more like C. variabilis because of what look like like to me are the pale to olive-green, broadly pointed hairy basal leaves. Just wondering how you can tell it is C. paludicola?

Plant proportions, i'm guessing this plant was around 50cm tall and had leaves less than 15cm long. This would make it C.variabilis, which is signficantly more common on the tablelands. I was hesitant intially as I was still waiting on advice for how to ID the two.

Thanks. Yes plant height would have come up to just under my knee i.e. ~50cm as you guessed.

Fantastic, C.paludicola is a much larger plants (great than 75cm typically), with long erect leaves (15-40cm long).
