Saw this and thought it was a discarded half eaten lolly in garden bed whilst weeding. Got closer and thought it was maybe a fungus? Approx 3cm in diameter and 2 cms high. Almost translucent jelly looking substance (did not touch so unsure if it felt like it looked) up close its centre was segmented in five (hard to see in shots). Outside was like a mushroom stalk texture.
This is an immature stinkhorn. The outer skin has been chewed away to expose the "jelly" that would have surrounded the immature fruitbody. Given that no fruitbody is present I can't tell for sure what species this is.
