This plant is similar to Pultenaea blakelyi. Flowers look pretty much identical but the leaves are rounded rather than with a terminal spike. There are also some in another location where the leaves and buds are orange/red tinted. May just be the different location. I assume it isn't a different species.
You have given actual coordinates for this site. I clicked on suppress location when loading it. This has not been done. Please remedy. Fast. It is on private property.
The site has handled everything correctly and the location is suppressed. You are able to view the exact location as the the creator of the sighting, along with site moderators and admin. Additionally all unidentified records are automatically suppressed.
Thanks for that extra information. I have been very very hesitant in posting anything at all on the CNM (although I do use it as a resource) because I don't like the idea that the locations of wildlife I observe and photograph (of which there is a lot) are open for others to see and then possibly visit without permission. Most of the wildlife I record is on private property and most of the owners value their own privacy (as much as they value the wildlife itself). And yes I have seen postings on the CNM from some of these properties that I am pretty certain were not visited or posted with permission. Thanks again.
No worries at all, thanks for making the contribution. Not wishing to disclose the location is absolutely warranted in many circumstances and as a CNM community we can accomodate that. The areas that your sightings are coming from are poorly documented so I would encourage you to continue to upload your records, please feel assured that you can maintain your privacy and contribute to CNM. This sightings is particularly interesting, It is on my list to put through a key when I get time.
You mentioning other CNM users uploading from private property without permission is interesting. I know many members of our community personally who go to great lengths to speak with landholders and obtain permission, though I can appreciate that this may not always be the case. Additionally there are many landholders who use CNM as a way of documenting the biodiversity on their properties. As a moderator I always assume the best.
In saying that, If you are sure that there are contributors accessing private land without permission it is probably worth bringing it up with the admin. We wish to encourage memebers to abide by the law when out documentating biodiversity.
Sorry but ID features for Pultenaea include hairs on stems, colour and hairiness of both sides or leaves, size and shape of stipules and hairiness and shape of bracts below flowers - none of these features are clear in image - close up of flower (from the side), stems and leaves helps. You can load 5 images for each sighting. That said I think it is either Pultenaea dentata or P. subspicata
