The flowers appear to be 20-25 mm across and the petals are not oblique to me. These do not appear large enough nor the right form for D. amabilis. They look more like D. monticola but is that high enough for D. monticola? This is a current record to compare https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4450826. Why do you think it to be D. amadilis?

D. amabilis was a guess, I didn't think D. monticola occurred in this area but happy to be corrected! Elevation at the site approx. 600m, not sure of D. monticola requirements.

References are suggesting 800-1800 for D. monticola so that is less likely. I checked and there are no records for either in that area but D. amabilis is more likely with records in the more general area. There are reasonable numbers at Gundaroo I have seen. They appear to late and the form is not correct for D. chryseopsis particularly the petals.

I wouldn't get too caught up on the size as that can be influenced by a range of factors both genetic and environmental. Even yesterday I found a Calochilus robertsonii (platychilus) with flowers that measured less than the width of my thumb from the tip of the labellum to tip of the dorsal sepal.
